Amanda graduated with a degree in Psychology from Yale University, with a focus on Women, Race, and Gender Studies. She received her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work Practice from Southern Connecticut State University.

Raised in Newark, New Jersey, Amanda has lived and worked in Portland, Oregon since 2008.

In her downtime, you can find her climbing rocks, traveling, working on social justice initiatives, advocating for people with disabilities, gardening, cooking, and snuggling any cat she sees.
